You can't fool me anymore Cuckoo!

Nature acts in a strange way; why else it has created Cuckoo to lays its eggs on other birds' nest? Why the Cuckoo is deprived of laying its eggs in its own nest?

Till now, Cuckoo seemed to have gotten away fooling other birds but a few birds have started identifying eggs in their nest that are now lid by them.

According to a new study, song thrushes have the ability to identify the eggs of rogue species like cuckoos in their own nests.

Auckland University researchers placed eggs in song thrushes' (see picture)nests, painted to resemble their own. But the birds ejected the “foreign” eggs, particularly those with differences in reflecting ultraviolet or short-wavelength light.
