Being familiar with the Hindu mythology, I found Mayan mythology very much similar to it. I love reading about our ancestors irrespective of countries and civilization.
The Mayan civilization is fascinating to me. I suddenly remembered many things in Mayan mythology when I read a brief news story in Times of India today. It was about the contents of a tomb of a Mayan king who lived and died before the birth of Jesus Christ.
Hunab Ku is said to be the God creator of Maya. People of Mayan civilization believed that Hunab Ku rebuilt the world after three deluges which poured from the mouth of a sky serpent.
