The safest places in the world.

The first thought that came to my mind when I saw these two pictures that came through email was these two places are the safest places in the world for the polar bear cubs that look temptingly cuddly.

We find shelters to stay away from the snow but for the polar bears, the snow offers perfect shelter.

I forwarded these two images to my brother's daughter. She promptly and proudly showed them to her class mates. She instantly became the star of attraction.

Can trees scare you?

Well, not all tress but tress that display bizarre formations due to vagaries of nature can scare even me, an ardent tree lover.

Look at these two trees for example:

Here is another tree-a betel nut tree in Malaysia showing bizarre natural formation.

What you see below is real. Yes, the head of the Budhha statue is real. The rest of the body is separated during the Burmese sacking of Ayutthaya in Thailand several hundred years ago.

The name given to such natural images is "Pareidolia". What we see as images in Moon and Mars also belong to Pareidolia. I welcome more images in this category.

Uneatable cakes of Japan.

You see the sign above in front of a cake shop in Japan, near a local railway station. You find lovely looking cakes and pastries as below.

But don't eat them yet. They are uneatable. They are only soaps to wash your face and hands.

Can be a perfect gifting idea-eh?

Rare photos of Sourav Ganguly and Schin Tendulkar.

Yes, I can recognize this face but only after I was told who he is at present.
You will too when you browse further down.

I can spot Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly. Who is in the middle?

Amazing Ice Architecture.

Even today, if you go to the Marina beach in Madras, you can see stunning creations in sand. Buildings, palaces, hills, images of various Gods are some of the creativity you can see and you can watch a live creation in progress.

Here are four pictures that show fantastic work on ice. Truly brilliant.

I like the White House. It is superb.

The pictures were forwarded by my son through email.

Beautiful bay of Patra.

If there is one in the world that I would neglect all my duties to visit, it is Greece. Ever since I studied the ancient Greek history, the idea of touring Greece haunts me constantly.

Whenever I come across in the Internet any thing related to Greece, I am drawn towards it like a magnet and I can't resist blogging about what I read and saw.

Today, I just found a gem of a blog.it is a travel blog maintained by a very passionate traveler and his blog is
Clearly Enlight.

Apart from the great content, the blogs very neat and crisp. I feel like visiting this blog at least once in day. The picture you see here is of Bay of Patra. It is the capital of the Prefecture of Achaia. There are several pictures of the calm seas of the Greece that I feel like taking a plunge into the ocean.

I thank the blogger of Clearly Enlight for giving me so much pleasure.

The image of an Angel.

This is probably this century's great photograph taken as on date.

Angel, the invisible that we all would like to see ( a paradox?). The good deeds doers, Angels always kindle our fascination whether be believe in them or not.

There is a familiar saying that goes like this: "There is no proof of Angels, but also there is no against them".

But not any more dear; there is a proof of existence of angels and here is a photograph of an angel.

This photo shows an “angel” of light Chelsea's mother saw at Presbyterian Hospital in November.

Some seven weeks after Chelsea was admitted to the hospital for pneumonia when she was about 2 years old, a nurse called others' attention to a monitor showing the door to the pediatric intensive care unit.

“On the monitor, there was this bright light,” Colleen recalls. “And I looked at it and I said, ‘Oh my goodness! It looks like an angel!”

Do you know the name?

I have been searching the Internet for the name of this bird and its native land. I drew a blank so far. Isn't this bird stunning? I am at awe at God's imagination while creating this bird. God must have been in an excellent mood to have visualized this fantastic color combination.

In Flickr, where this picture is posted, every viewer wanted to give award for the photographer. I also liked the short description beneath the photo that reads:

"This is similar shot to my previous posting except that this bird is looking beyond the horizon asking what future lies ahead of him/her. Will he/she be a model, a dancer, an actor/actress and then realize what ever he/she be will be, our future is not ours to see..."

Visit the Flickr link above and read the comments of appreciation.

Swan on a song.

So, what do you make of this stunning picture; the flight of the bird or the eyes of the person who captured this breath taking image in the eyes of his camera?

I would choose the later. And I thank him profoundly for this image will give me happiness whenever I look at it.

My husband used to be good at spotting these kinds of rare sights but we don't have a camera.

But so what? We have the eyes of the world.

This photo was made by a Diamond Class Photographer!

ps: BTW, is it a flamingo or a swan?

The Edible billboard.

Life is so much amusing when I read about odd news. I am crazy about such news except the news has anything to do with violence.

For a moment, let us forget about online advertising and think about offline advertising that includes news papers, stickers, flyers, yellow pages and billboards which is also known as hoardings.

Of all these, I love hoardings that are written with excellent sentences. I have come across many copywriters who are simply brilliant.

Now, this is absolutely bizarre-a giant billboard erected that is made of real chocolate. Yes dear, 860 pounds of chocolate was used to create this billboard.

"The Easter creation, a world first, was made of 10 chocolate bunnies, 72 giant chocolate eggs and 128 chocolate panels, each weighing 2kg. The billboard took three months to plan and 300 hours for the team of 10 to build and was expected to last a week but alas was devoured by Londoners in less than three hours."-http://oddee.com
