Good news or IT students.

This blog post is based on information provided by Blogitive. For more information, please visit Blogitive.com.

In the last week Monday edition of our local daily, the educational supplementary papers carried an article about the increase in demand for IT professionals in the world and in the next three years, there may even be a demand supply gap in the IT industry.

Based on the information that is provided by Blogitive, capella university is gearing up to produce IT leaders by offering PhD in IT. I read in the website of capella university that in the next decade, three of the 10 fastest growing occupations will be in the field of information technology (IT) and they cited the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics as their source of information.

Several of my son’s friends who are currently doing graduate program in IT are enthused by this good news and they have all warned their parents about their intention to study further though Capella University, the fully accredited online university that offers graduate online degree programs in business, information technology, education, human services, public health, public safety, and psychology, and bachelor’s degree programs in business, information technology, and public safety.

Learn to counsel.

I was one of the fortunate invitees from a rural based school but run by a giant corporate body. I was asked just to observe the teachers and give my feedback.

To be frank, I was quite impressed with the quality of teaching which was much better than city schools. When I gave a clean chit, the management insisted that I find some fault with their teachers but I strongly refused.

Then I realized that I can contribute something as per the expectation of the school management. I quickly wrote a two page report which I knew would displease them.

I felt the management needed some counseling and suggested that they sponsor one or two academic staff to take up online education from Capella University. Capella is the first and only online university to receive accreditation from CACREP (the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs).

All the faculty of Capella in the Mental Health Counseling specialization and the Marital, Couple, and Family Counseling/Therapy specialization are licensed professionals.

In my report, I cited that Capella University's online degree programs have earned the respect of leading corporations including Boeing, Farmers Insurance Group, and Johnson & Johnson. I also mentioned about the
Capella University that was chosen as a finalist for a Minnesota Tekne Award in the “Technology User” category.

Great courses offered at Capella.

When Isaac Pitman taught shorthand in 1840 via correspondence, he would not realized that he is launching a revolution in education.

In today’s distance learning, correspondence education has taken a backseat and communication is carried through the Internet between the teacher and the student.

Distance education, or distance learning is a field of education wherein teachers and students may communicate asynchronously at times of their own choosing through Internet.

Distance Education uses all forms of technology that includes radio, television, audio video conferencing, computer aided instruction, e-learning/on-line learning et al.

Founded in 1993, Capella University is an accredited, online university that offers graduate degree programs in business, information technology, education, human services, and psychology, and bachelor’s degree programs in business and information technology.

Capella University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA), ncahlc.org.

Some of the courses offered at Capella are unique and cannot be found else where.

Doing doctorate course online is convenient.

This following blog post is based on the information provided by Blogitive. For more information, please visit Blogitive.com.

Based on the information provided by Blogitive.com about Capella University’s PhD program on Education, I am contemplating to take it up next year.

I will be completing my M.Phil by September this year. Since I hold a Masters degree in Education, I am qualified to do the doctorate course in Education and attending an online university is perfect by me. It will be easier to pursue my studies online as my full time occupation offline takes up much of my time.

I really want to work with the academicians of Capella University and especially with Sara Orem, Jacqueline Binkert, PhD, and Ann Clancy, PhD who have all authored this book on Appreciative Coaching.

As the entire education industry is talking about this book, my interest and curiosity is aroused. I am sure I can dedicate my knowledge thus gained to the Indian students’ community.

Capella University offers anyone the ability to pursue their degree online and provides them with the flexibility and convenience they need, coupled with the uncompromising quality employers have come to expect from Capella. Distance learning at an accredited online university provides you with the quality education you seek to meet the professional and academic goals you set for yourself.
