Breaking the popular concept that only children are taken into consideration by mail producers, the Japanese are encouraging the elders to take this special milk that contains Melatonin, a hormone that is said to increase in the vividness or frequency of dreams.
This special milk is costlier than normal milk by 30%. Studies suggest that supplements can hasten sleep and ease jet lag, without the hazards or side effects of prescription sleeping pills.
Melatonin is also reported to make people feel better, strengthen the immune system, and reduce free radicals in the body.
Current research is exploring melatonin's effect as an anti-oxidant, immno-modulator in cancer, delayed sleep-phase disorders, and more.
