Don't be alarmed that some one is sacrificing his pet as part of a religious belief. This sacrifice is something else.

A woman is making clothes by recycling pet's fur. Her name is Danelle German. She lives in Simpsonville, South Carolina.

She owns a business of recycling cat fur. She sais she was inspired when her friend asked her to clip her pet's hair so that it could be spun into yarn.

It is not uncommon for owners of pet to shorn their fur during summer. Now, Danelle capitalizes on the shaved of pet fur.

Camelback displays increases the sales.

Call me a conservative; I don’t care. I have a reason for going to the same hotel every year on our wedding anniversary. No, it is not because of the food but because of the way the food is displayed using highly attractive table covers.

The dessert area in the buffet room is my favorite spot. The range of ice creams and fruit salads decorate the circular table as seen in the picture here.

Even at the entrance of the restaurant, visitors to the hotel will stop at the Octagon shaped table top display that mentions the special food and beverages being served at the restaurant.

Like me, it seems the hotel too is firm on using creatively arranged trade show exhibits to mount nearly 50 courses of food and more than 15 varieties ice creams.

My husband who never fails to pass on his heart felt compliments to the hotel staff, will be received with remembrance and shown to the coolest spot in the restaurant.

So, we have to wait for exactly 30 more days to celebrate our 25^th wedding anniversary at.. yes, the same hotel that we have been going for the past 20 plus years.

We believe we are an intelligent civilization in the Milky way Galaxy. We also know that that there thousands of other such galaxies and we expect to find earth like civilizations in those galaxies.

As of February 2009, scientists have counted 361 intelligent civilizations in our galaxy alone. There may be more also.

What we fail to guess is we firmly believe we are the only intelligent life and so, we only look for similar form life. Human eyes and other senses are very inferior. We can't hope to see and identify other forms of life that surround us and in the space.

Anableps, a fish looks like it has four eyes. But it only has two eyes. Only the south Americans and Mexicans are fortunate to have seen the fish as it frequents the rivers and estuaries from southern Mexico to northern South America.

They have eyes raised above the top of the head and divided in two different parts, so that they can see below and above the water surface at the same time.

The top half is for seeing in the air; the bottom half is for underwater.

How many of the US citizens know that their country's anthem has three verses? I read that everyone knows only the first one. Is it true?

I know only this much:
* The Star-Spangled Banner" is the national anthem of the United States of America.
* The lyrics come from a poem written in 1814
* It was written by a 35-year-old amateur poet named Francis Scott Key.

I want to know the details. I searched the web but could not find what I was looking for. I need to know the answers immediately for a specific purpose.

Fire walking made easier.

I am actually under firm opinion that only certain Indian can walk on fire. Even near my house, there will be an annual fire walking ceremony will be held in front of a Amman Temple. Fire walking is regarded as a highly religious ritual in Tamilnadu.

Just 15 minutes ago, my impression was shattered when I read that fire walking ceremony is also held in other parts of the world.

In 1969, at San Pedro Manrique in Spain, the author of a newspaper column found the bed of simmering coal too hot even to stand near the fire bed. He witnessed with awe, two members of a French TV crew remaining behind walk across the coals with no adverse effects.

The author, an American was egged on to walk on fire. He was asked to make sure his feet are brushed free of grass and twigs. He then placed his feet firmly on the fire bed and walked across without any further hesitation and exited without any discomfort.

His uttered only this: "What a spiritual experience!"

Trees talk and kill.

But don't worry, trees that I am talking about won't kill humans but their predators only.

I happen to read an 18 year old issue of Science Frontiers that mentioned about killer trees that talk. By 'talk', I mean they send out signals to other trees of their own species that there is a predator at large.

The predators are 'Antelopes'.
The trees are Acacia.
The talking method is sending out a signal through air not in the form of sound buy by a unique method.

Here it is:
Antelopes nibble at Acacia trees. The trees then produce tannin in quantities that are sufficient to kill the antelopes within two weeks of eating the leaves.

To warn other acacia trees, the first victim tree emits ethylene into the air which can travel up to 50 yards. The ethylene warns other trees of impending danger, which then step up their own production of leaf tannin within just five to ten minutes.
